Like with the Forbidden City, this place was disappointing - you cannot go inside the buildings and the most famous building (the Echo Room) was closed for rennvations.

This cost 200rmb (40NZD) - the duck was huge, almost as big as a goose!!!! It was delicious and well worth the money.

Ming Emperor - Ming Tombs

All Ming Tombs are boring - you cannot see anything at all, you cannot go into the tomb - a waste of time. I have been to two now and they are the same - big walls is all you really get to see.

This part of the wall is called Ba Da Ling - It is extremely impressive - even though it has been rebuilt, it is amazing - one of the best things I have seen here

There were far too man people for my comfort and stupid Chinese women with their umbrealls, poking people in the eyes - I lost it at one stage and broke and umbrella that poked me in the eye !!!! - They have no idea about space between people or courtesy
