There are
not too many images here. The first 8 are of the 50th Anniversary of Ma'anshan
being a city.
I was
lucky enough to have been one of three foreigners invited to the celebrations as
a VIP.
The
evening celebrations were the best with front row seats at the Nanhu Hotel (most
upmarket hotel in the city) for the 2 Million Yuan Fireworks Display. Awesome.
The next
three are of an old gentleman we have met. He was imprisoned for 17 years for
making public comments about the Communist Party during the revolution. He has
written a book about his life and ordeals which we are starting to translate
into English together.
The last
two are of the mandatory month's military training for all new students each
year.
