Ben in Front of Mao - Tienamen Square
I must admit Tienamen Square was very disappointing - there is a huge road right thru the middle of it - it would look very different with no traffic going thru |

Ben & Xiaohua - Tienamen Square
Ben wanted to see Mao's body - which is across the road opposite where this picture was taken. Thye line to get in to see it was over 2km long - so we didn't bother - who wants to wait in the searing heat to see a mouldy old man anyway. |

Ben inside the Forbidden City
To be honest the Forbidden City was very very disappointing. The architecture is cool, but you cannot see inside any of the buildings really - the Chinese need to look at ploaces like the Palace of Versailles and Fontainbleu in France where you can go inside the buidlings and see evrything - maybe they don't trust their own people not to steal things !!!!! |
